Yo-ho-ho and a bottle o' Pussers!
This site will concentrate on Scottish Census information. It will endeavour to put individual census entries into the much wider context of who else lived there at the time and what the living conditions were like.
This task is much easier for the 1841 and 1851 Censuses when populations were much smaller and places like Gartsherrie were still separate villages rather than incorporated into larger conurbations such as Coatbridge.
Where possible photographic evidence will be introduced as well.
Click on the relevant county and follow the links to the Census information that you are after. At the moment I only plan to do selected work in the areas of Lanarkshire, Fife, Haddingtonshire, Edinburgh and the Borders.
Please bear with me while I get this site up and running, there is a lot of information to be put in place and it will take some time to place it all. So, for the moment you'll find that certain links will only take you to dummy pages - dinnae hit me!
If you want to go to my web sites with personal genealogical information on please follow either of the links above the e-mail button. E-mail me with any queries or comments if you feel like it.
